Airport Lounge Reviews

It’s all in the title really. We’ve got a new site we’re working on based on Airport Lounges with a great deal of help from Max Bush at Vivid Lime. It’s a fairly niche area, but having experienced BA Terraces at Heathrow last week, I felt enthused!

The site has “soft launched” today, meaning it’s now live with about 90% of the front-end coding done (go on Happy!), very little content (erm, hurry up me) and a dodgy logo (go on Chris!) and we’re not linking to it yet. Ideally it’ll be ready to rock by Friday.

It’s nice working on a new site again, I still get a buzz when we’re getting close to launch. Keep forgetting that this is what I do instead of a real job!

I would add if you’ve never experienced an airport lounge before, my one visit so far was amazing. It really was like being on holiday for 2 hours in the middle of one of the busiest buildings in the world. All I need now is for Max to send me over a couple of free passes and I’m set for life! (Only half kidding there).

    Hmm, this is addictive.

I was booking some flights for next week, as BA are having strikes I looked at BMI instead. For an extra £40 on my ticket I can get lounge access, so for the purposes of research… :)

did I miss something or is there a telepathic link ;-)? Look forward to seeing you at Barcamp - perhaps you could give a little talk explaining how the service came about? I use Priority Pass, and experience quite a variation between different lounges (Lack of Wifi, good/bad tea…)
