Dog Day Afternoon

Had an extra bit of excitement going to watch the rugby on Saturday afternoon. Not only were we playing the league leaders Stirling County, but the team’s new sponsored strips were making their debut.

Pepsi Maxton models the latest Hamilton strip

Yup, that’s right, that’s our logo!

Feel very proud to be sponsoring my local team, and it’s nice to put something back into the place, as it played such a large part in my life until I learned coding and worked very unsociable hours!

New Strip on Table

Unfortunately Stirling came to spoil our party, and after a hard fought first half including a Hamilton player being Red-Carded (quite rare in rugby, believe it or not), the visitors ran off with the game in the second 40 minutes.

Final Score: Hamilton 5  Stirling County 24

The game was also the featured game of the week for Scottish Rugby TV, where you can watch the 7 or so minutes of high(low)lights.

If anyone would like one of these lovely highly sought after strips, let me know and I’ll see if you’re on my Christmas list!

Those shirts look great! Sponsoring a sports team is something I’ve always wanted to do - even if it’s the local primary school under 7’s ;-) I have just never had a suitable website to promote this way.

Good luck with it and good luck to the team!

[…] Enjoyed a trip to the borders last weekend to watch Hamilton v Jed-Forest, where we snatched defeat from the jaws of a draw, losing to a penalty in injury time. It was pointed out that Hamilton haven’t won a game since we had our logo put on the strips! […]
